Lackford lakes

Coffe cake & Kingfishers....what more could you ask for. That was the sign that greeted us at Lackford today. I don't drink coffee and we didn't stop for cake and sadly didn't spot a kingfisher today. But that aside we had a lovely walk around the lakes and popped into a number of the hides to check out the birds on ice and water. Saw a couple of teal, a white egret, swans, geese and assorted other ducks. On the way home I also saw a small bird of prey perched on the fence alongside the slip road, but there was no where to stop for a closer look and identify it.
