OM

this carved tibetan symbol for emptiness lives somewhere in the mountains of Montana and decorates the background of my laptop screen (this is why there is an additional pattern in the foreground  - which results from the surface of the screen)

Browsing through blipfoto just now, I found this poem, which I may adopt, as it's a poem about emptiness (thanks to 'paused')
"Thirty spokes share one hub.
Thanks to this emptiness, the wheel is useful.
You knead clay, and you make a cup.
Thanks to this emptiness, the cup is useful.
You cut out doors and windows, and you make a room.
Thanks to this emptiness, the room is useful.
Thus, something can be useful because nothingness is working."
Tao Te Ching - Lao Tzu
