Today's photo within a picture frame
The fierce Tramontana wind started during the night and continued blowing freezing cold air all day!
Perpignan was our main destination....I'm sure it is lovely.....but we spent our time dodging the icy blasts.
Onwards to Collioure, about 30 km away, on the Red Coast, Côte Vermeille; a picturesque village of 3000 inhabitants. The wind blew and the sea frothed and foamed....so, we found a fabulous sheltered, sunny pavement cafe for a vin blanc!
Dotted around this village, frequented by artists, there were a dozen or so, bronze "picture frames"... with a few steps for easy access! The idea is to take a photograph of a village landmark through the eyes of the picture frame.
Here is my ready framed photo of the ancient Church of Notre Dame des Anges.... A lovely church dominating the small harbour
...I've never come across anything like this before.....so thought I'd share it! A photograph of the Collioure church....ready framed.
