Tent City on the Pond

Dear Diary,

Yesterday was my kind of "storm".  Lovely flurries all day but less than 1 inch of accumulation.  Southern New England got a whole lot more of the white stuff.  I hear there is a much bigger storm heading our way for Tuesday but I'll worry about that when it comes.

I went down to the pond and discovered a tent city of temporary ice fishing huts.  I've never seen this on the pond before but it makes perfect sense.  Easily put up and taken down, these little nylon shelters make ice fishing more enjoyable.

No "Ollie Sightings" yesterday but I feel quite blessed to have seen him twice and so close up.  One cannot expect such marvelous gifts everyday!
