Before the storm

Snow is expected late tonight and Mr M decided he'd better clean the chimney while the roof was still bare.  He chisels around the top edge of the chimney then drops a chain attached to a long rope down the chimney to loosen anything that might be adhering to the sides.  Then he comes inside and has to squeeze and crawl behind the woodstove to empty the pan that the soot/debris falls into.  I worked an extra half day today so as soon as I got home we had to hurry before the daylight was gone (my job consists of holding the ladder).  All in all, tons of fun.
