Marahau Tidal Flats

It has been another gloriously sunny day here in Kaiteriteri and Marahau.  I spent a few hours reading, swimming and eating a picnic lunch at Breaker Bay just over the hill form the main Kaiteriteri beach. Then this evening I drove over the hill to Marahau in order to capture the evening light on the tidal flats. At low tide these flats seem to go on forever.  It is a very extensive area and full of interest with bird life, folk walking, other people digging for cockles.  This area is definitely a place for photographers to visit.
