Deadly Beauty

We had a glorious day at Branklyn Gardens at Perth today, the Himalayan poppies (Meconopsis baileyi) were out in force (my wife Blipped a cracking shot)
On our way home we stopped for cuppa at Dobbies and there was a owl display at the entrance. However much I disaprove of any birds being kept captive I have always found the Barn Owl particulary beautiful. It always has a slightly sorrowful look but also menacing.
When I go to work I regularly see one skimming the fields before dawn.
