When you are on a roll

You might as well stick with it.  More birds today.  

This is a purple swamp hen.  Same species as in New Zealand, but looks slight different, although they are all blessed with those enormous feet.  Whenever I think I have big feet, I think of this bird, and count my blessings.

It's turning out to be a terrific weekend one way or another.

Lamb roast for dinner tonight - it is Australia Day weekend after all.  the Americans have their turkey, we have our lamb.
