Life through the lens...

One for the cook.

I love this golden sage, as not only do I use it in cooking, but it looks lovely in a pot in the garden.

Like many herbs sage is steeped in history, used for centuries by the ancient Greeks, Romans, and Chinese for medicinal purposes it is said to be particularly good for fighting colds and throat disorders.
One of the reasons for its wide use in sausages is because of its antiseptic properties, which act as a preservative.

There are about 500 species of sage with only two that are indigenous to England. The common or garden sage, and the golden sage.

Managed to get the first coat of paint on the garden table and chairs this afternoon.
It warmed up, though not sunny.
Next weeks forcast looks much better, but that depends on which part of the country you live in.

Watched the first broadcast from Chelsea Flower Show today. It is on every day this coming week. I for one am addicted!
MrC gets a bit fed up, but it's not on as much as football!!!!

By the way Well Done YORK CITY!!!
