Art deco

A day of training learning about all the legal options available to children's hearings and the circumstances in which they can be considered.

We had 10 minutes after lunch which allowed time to get out for some fresh air. We were in a hotel near the Maybury roundabout. Sitting next to the roundabout since it was building in 1935 is the Art Deco building of the Maybury Casino, formerly the Roadhouse. The juxtaposition of the Chinese flag and the Casino seems unusual. Less so when you know that out of shot was a variety of international flags. But probably what would not have been expected even 2 decades ago, let alone 1935.
