From Raven Crag.

View along Thirlmere and the Helvellyn range beyond, where a double Mountain Rescue Drama was in full swing involving RAF and Civilian Mountain Rescue teams was taking place.
For us (Parlick and Stravaiger2011) it was a not so difficult but pleasant day ticking 3 Wainwrights. High Tove, Armboth Fell and Raven Crag, with a little jaunt up Castle Crag as an extra with great views in to a lost valley.
A fine day to blow the cobwebs away after my turn with the Lurghi....
