Women in Black

Women in Black hold a silent vigil from 1 to 2 pm every Saturday outside East Register House on Princes Street in Edinburgh and have done so for the last 13 years. Today it was a cold hour for the women and me with a biting wind!

They are part of a worldwide, international network involving non-party political, non-aligned women supporting peaceful alternatives to militarism, arms sales, war and violence, and understanding of conflict and non-violent strategies for peace.
