City of Sails

We seem to have arrived at Auckland at an auspicious time. It's 175 years since the city was founded (today, I think). It's very lively and there's a holiday tomorrow (Monday). There are all sorts of fun things happening on the quayside and we had a little walk around after booking into our hotel.

I think you might see more of the Sky Tower as there will be fireworks tomorrow evening. That's what I'm hoping to blip anyway. 

We seem to have been travelling for best part of two days, although with time zone changes it's actually about 8 or maybe 10 hours less. We're going out for a plate of pasta and we'll try not to fall asleep in it. It'll be an early night for us.
