Love Gives You the Right, To Be Free...
This morning me and the kids were sitting in the garden.
Conversation turned to their Dad, and I sat and listened gobsmacked as they discussed all the things that their Dad was good at, and all the things he should be doing, all the things that he had done, and was cable of doing.
I know they love their dad, but to hear them acknowledge his limitless talent was just lovely, am just so sorry he wasn't there to hear them.
Tonight, after returning from another Scout Survival Weekend - 20 Scouts in a forrest, no tents, all "emergency supplies" of sweets removed, he taught them to gut fish, cook a chicken on a string over a fire, dress for survival, and cook in stone filled homes; he came home, washed the dishes, and then did this....
Disposed of the body parts on the patio.
He really is a treasure, and I hope he knows how much we all appreciate him.
