Magic Kingdom (last time)
Our third and final visit to Magic Kingdom this holiday, and we what a difference compared to a few days ago - the park was much quieter today. Our first FastPass was for Big Thunder Mountain - Aidan was a bit scared at first, however he quickly warmed up to it and was shouting "I love it!" before long!
As an illustration of how quiet the park was compared to a few days ago, after getting off the Big Thunder Mountain railroad, we headed straight on to Splash Mountain with only a 10 minute wait - last time we were in the park, both rides had well over an hour's wait all day. The kids seemed to enjoy Splash Mountain - right up until the point that they got wet, which Logan took exception to.
Seeing as we were in the area, we headed over to Tom Sawyer's Island - despite my many visits to Disney, I'm not sure I've ever properly been over to the island. The boys really enjoyed it though - especially the fort (with the guns) and the mine tunnels. After that, we headed over to "it's a small world" for our next FastPass. We've not been on it yet this holiday (again, the wait times before now have been terrible), although we were sure the boys would like it (they did).
After a few more rides, we headed back down to Main Street USA for another look at the shops and a few more photos (putting our Photo Package to good use). Seeing as the park was a bit quieter, I finally managed to get a Starbucks on Main Street, although I still waited 20 minutes in a queue to get it!
