Hello to you, too!

This is the view from my front door! Can't get over how lucky I am!

Some calves are much more curious than others and I've noticed this chap is quite a bold little thing. It's been a cold blustery day with a few heavy showers but between them I've managed to get some washing dry and tire out Ollie with his frisbee!

In the patch of garden at the front of the cottage there are some tiny red poppies flowering today. So nice not knowing what is planted where, everything is going to be a surprise! The owner of the cottage is a keen gardener and is happy for me to do what I like with it, short of digging up the lawn to plant veggies! Had some redwings and fieldfares in the garden this morning, the autumn migrants. Lovely to see different birds coming to the feeders, although the starlings outnumber everything else tens of times over! The old farm buildings are full of them, and pigeons too, attracted by the barley stored there, no doubt.

Lots of things for me to blip over the coming months! You've been warned!
