Thankfully, it's getting to that time of year again for convenient blips.  Despite the clear skies, there seemed to be some mist or fog hanging about the field as well.

It was bitterly cold! I was only out of the car for a few minutes but my gloveless hands were aching by the time I got back in.

This is a real issue - can anyone recommend decent gloves which will allow you to manipulate a DSLR AND fit a pair of small hands? Excess fabric at the fingertips is not helpful...  My driving gloves are a bit too bulky for anything other than the shutter button.
