Is this a dagger which I see before me?

Topics under discussion in my English class at ThyssenKrupp ranged from how to remove permanent marker from a white board to the latest in weaponry (! - I swear I didn't start that topic, honest) through lashing and quantitative easing (why not?) and finally 'how do you make steel'? I like to keep it lively...

Later ...the lumberjacks had abandoned the woods, all the paths are now clear and I stumbled across this knife. Now I'm fairly sure the woodsmen I saw yesterday were using chainsaws...then again I could have been mistaken - at least that'd explain why it's taken six months to open the woods again (- not that they're legally open...probably need to wait a few months for that bit of red tape.)
