At the clay ground today. This shows what is known as "The Bus Shelter" and the entrance driveway with the crocus in bloom! The Bus Shelter is a compact area with some 7 traps giving various clays.
We normally go up into the woods in the sporting area which is very pleasant particularly when the sun is shining.
Unfortunately son e the 5th January the Skeet and Down the Line area has had to be closed because the estate owner has decided to plant a solar farm. Now whatever you may think of this it is perhaps not a good idea to have this adjacent to a shooting ground. Apparently at the public meeting when asked but the tenant of the shooting ground if the contractors knew they would be working adjacent to a shooting ground and an area would thus have to be closed there was a silence......'no we were not told that'. How crazy is that particularly when it was the estate owner who originally put in the shooting ground a good few years ago! Ah well at least those panels are a bigger target.......
