Out of focus ...

These grey January days would try the patience of a saint, never mind a novice photographer. Went out at one point and there were ducks & drakes on the river but too far away. Came home and lined up some ceramics and this, belive it or not, is the best of a fuzzy bunch. No time to try an improvement as going out tonight.

This is a demitasse, one of a set given to my parents as a wedding gift. There are only four left and they live on the dresser with some others which belonged to my grandmother. One of them another day no doubt. Do people use a demitasse these days? I suppose they're what we'd call an espresso cup. The pattern is called 'wild flowers'. Does what it says on the tin.

A musical weekend beckons. Tonight the Edinburgh Quartet.
