St Peter's church - Little Rissington.

Took my wife on the 'mill and church' circular walk around Little Rissington.

I did the walk in March and said that on my next visit I would have a look at the graveyard - there are almost 80 graves of Air Force personnel from the nearby RAF Little Rissington air base. The base was the Central Flying School and in the 60's home to the Red Arrows before their move to Kemble.

Over 40 of these graves are from WW2 and there are 8 belonging to a group of airmen killed in a coach crash at Andoversford in 1941 when a group of airmen had enjoyed a night out in Cheltenham and hit a broken down lorry on the return journey. The site is very impressive and well looked after.

I was stationed at RAF Little Rissington in 1966 and 1968.
