Inchgarvie Island

This island nestles under the Forth Rail Bridge . It has been a state prison ( not quite Alcatraz ) and also a place of exile for plague stricken victims from Edinburgh in 1580. During the First & Second World Wars was used for defences against air-attacks in the Firth of Forth.
