A cone of light

All day in York and I didn't take a single photograph. It was dull and grey and I was not inspired. As often happens, on the way back there was a late afternoon blast of light beyond Malton. I diverted straight to my favourite church, St. Peter's at Wintringham and again was not disappointed. I was rewarded with only a twenty minute window of light, from 1440 until 1500. After that time it had gone. I'm experimenting more and more now with fine tuning the exposure and setting the lens on the aperture recommended by Fuji for maximum sharpness. A tripod is of course an absolute necessity.
