Spaces inbetween

I have started an evening class at ECA studying illustration. This evening we were based in the sculpture court of the main building and then encouraged to take our sketchbooks and explore. I found a painting studio which had been left for the day, it was left in darkness with soft light shining down through the windows from the castle outside. I stayed there drawing in the dark for a good 40 minutes.  After a busy day a bit of tranquil drawing was exactly what I needed.
