Men at work.

There has been a huge furore locally about the plan to build flood defences which involve building a high bank of earth along the side of the river.  It would be landscaped but it means removing a car park and some local traders are not happy about the potential loss of business.  I have been wondering what the building work was for and today I finally found out.  It is a model meant to show the public the size of the proposed flood defence barrier and there are posters up giving details about consultation meetings next week, which I think I might go to.  The only certainty is that you can not please everyone on an issue like this.
