Evening on the Kowhai Stream
Its been a busy day today, and my undercoating of the dining room got in the way of taking the dogs out for two walks, instead we settled for a single walk down the stream this evening.
I took the opportunity to scope out locations for night sky shots, and I reckon this spot will be great when the galactic hub of the Milky Way is visible in our skies again in a couple of months time. Instead of facing south, this shot sees me looking North towards Little Mount Peel.
This twisted tree (I think its a Totara) stands in the middle of the stream, and I can imagine that when the river is in full flow that it swirls around its trunk.
