Down by the pool

We arrived here in San Juan Puerto Rico about 1p.m. and only had a short 20 minute ride from the airport to the hotel/resort. The view from my room is breathtaking. Floor to ceiling windows that look out to the turquoise water below.
We dumped our bags in our room and went to explore a place to get a quick bite of lunch. I had been awake from the day before and didnt want to fade just yet. Lunch revived me and we walked around the resort checking out the different pools and the beach. Did I mention it's hot here? Oh wow the sun is so strong.
We came back to the room to unpack afterwards and i thought maybe i should lay down for a bit before our Welcome Cocktails at 6:30. Everyone else that won the trip from my husbands company would be there and i didnt want bags under my eyes. Well try as i might, no sleep was had.
Cocktails were on a rooftop balcony overlooking San Juan as the sun was setting behind it. A delicious breeze was blowing and everyone had a nice time.
