Country road

We drove up this little lane on the way back from the dentist today. The house you can see at the end has been recently scrubbed clean and looks wonderful although it has no windows at all.
The dentist patched up my broken tooth with some resin and warned that it would fall out at the least convenient time and therefore recommended a crown. This will involve injections and roots and nerves and after last year's failed root canal treatment I'm rather reluctant, but an appointment has been made for next Wednesday.
In other news, today our house and nearby fields were surrounded by the chasse, the Frenchmen in hi vis jackets with guns who surround a wood, send the dogs in and shoot whatever comes out. It isn't hunting but organised slaughter really. Anyway, just as Mr F had wandered over to our fence to estimate how close the men were to us, a baby wild boar charged out of the wood between our fence and the men. The men all raised their guns and saw that Mr F was taking photos so they had to let it go! It was that little boar's lucky day as the chasse are not supposed to shoot towards domestic properties but I'm sure they would have done had he not been there!
