Augustus John was painted by William Orpen and after it was painted Augustus John said it didn't capture the shy dreamy and reticent nature of his character! AJ is not shy, dreamy or reticent and neither was Augustus John! Unfortunately there is no connection with Augustus John other than AJ aspires to be an artist!
