Pub Challenge No 1!

On a very cold and wet day, I headed into Bath on the bus with a friend, to see the film 'Testament of Youth'. However, due to an accident that temporarily closed the road, we missed the start of the film.

So what do you do on such a miserable day? You head to the pub! In September 2013, I showed you the smallest pub in Bath, The Coeur de Lion. At the time, you told me that I should visit the pub one day to find out what it looked like inside, so today that's what I did! And following your instructions, I enjoyed half of cider, warming myself by the log stove!!

It was very difficult to take a shot that captured the atmosphere of this cosy little pub, especially as I didn't feel comfortable pointing my camera directly at people who were enjoying a quiet drink. The man you can see on the left is sitting at a table at one end of the pub, and the legs that you can see on the right, are sitting at a table at the other end of the pub! Five tables in total!!

So my thwarted trip to the cinema gave me an idea for a new 'challenge', to visit all the historic pubs in and around Bath, that I've not visited before. As they say, necessity is the mother of invention! It's a tough challenge, but I'll do my best for you, all in the name of blip of course!!
