The tree in winter

While many other parts of Yorkshire have lovely soft fluffy snow to make the landscape look magical, here in our local park we seem to have only wet, muddy slushy stuff.   In the midst of this white but very wet slush stands ‘my’ tree.   I claim it as ‘my’ tree after spending rather a long time this summer completing an exercise for which I was required to submit 36, yes 36, different photographs of the same tree.   In the end I actually submitted 47 photographs, but I’ll admit that getting 47  completely different photographs of the same subject was quite a challenge.   What I didn’t submit, of course, was a photograph of the tree in winter!
