Icecream Maker

Being a family of ice cream lovers, we decided to buy an icecream maker.

Some of the recipies required cooking egg yolks in cream and cooling as a starting point.

I made up my own recipe in the end. Half milk, half yoghurt, some caster sugar, orange essence and chocolate chips.

Perhaps the wrong time of year to be making ice cream but it is delicious!

Dad is off colour. I could see it coming as he has recurring UTI s and I now know the signs. Anyway, I've spoken to the surgery and started him on antibiotics. We love him very much and he is well looked after. I sometimes wonder about other octogenarians who don't have supporting families on their doorsteps. How on earth do they cope?
