Jo Malone

A couple of days ago I heard a few minutes of Desert Island Disks. The subject of the programme and castaway of the week was Jo Malone.

The subject of my photograph is Jo Malone's shop in Aberdeen. As far as I know she no longer has any connection with the company that bears her name.

The building nestles in the shadow of the John Lewis department store. It is the only remaining building in the immediate area in traditional style, it is surprising the building survived the redevelopment in the area. I might hazard the view that it will outlast most of the more modern buildings which surround it.
