Mucky weather

We appear to have escaped the snow for now.  Yes, we are in Staffordshire, but it seems to have been up in the north of the county - Flash, and places like that.

But it has been sort of damp and grubby today. The gym was quiet - and the pool was even quieter. Warm, steam rising, but a general sense of dampness.

There had been a few flakes last night, and threats of more to come, but when it got to lunchtime, I decided to head out and see what was happening with the baby cow.

Mother is doing her very best to keep him clean, and in the process, seems to be picking up most of the mud on her own white coat. He gets cheekier.  I saw Beauty run at him to get him out of her way.  He wasn't scared - but he did duck away from her horns.
