Frozen Saltmarsh

After a freezing cold night large swathes of Belhaven Saltmarsh were covered in ice this morning. As the water which covers the salt marsh at high tide is sea water, the water is therefore a saline solution which I believe has a lower freezing point than ordinary water, so it must have been really cold during the night !
