Wet and sticky.
We live on a hill about 500 feet above sea level. It seems to have it's own micro climate! Two miles down the road on the coast there is no snow at all, the roads were wet with only the traces of the early morning downfall. On our hill, the farm track was covered and the wet, soft snow was sticking in the trees. MrsDB was leaving early to sort the auld bird out (mother in law) so I walked down to check the steep hill connecting us to the main road and met Mike, one of the farm workers trudging his way to work. "Roads are nee bother", he remarked. (He'd parked at the bottom farm).
That was about 4 hours ago. The snow has gone from the trees, just melted off, the track is slushed up and MrsDB arrived safely at her destination. Now I have to make my own lunch.
Does anyone know where we keep the bread? And how do you turn this darned oven grill on? The microwave settings are obviously for stupid people so I've settled for a toasted sarny.
