Orchid close up

We had snow...... well for about 5 minutes before 7am this morning! So much for the forecasters predicting a white out! I give up listening to them!!

Got a lovely surprise in the mail yesterday as I'd sent an email to a gardening company last week as they put out a tweet on Twitter saying if anyone would like a free plant then to email them.... well i heard the words 'free' and 'plant' so thought I'd drop them a line and yesterday this beautiful Orchid plant arrived!  I dont normally get on so well with houseplants so hoping I can keep this one living a little longer than my usual efforts!
