Easy Rider

Morning sunshine and a family trip to the park with Tom on his new roller blades and Milo on his personalised hand-me-down trike.

Took advantage of our friendly neighbourhood narrowboat cafe - as one does - for a coffee stop and got chatting to another family. Tom mainly. He likes a blether.

The dad happened to mention that his little boy had recently had to go to hospital following a face-and-wall encounter that led to a tooth extraction.

Tom is a seven year old boy. He encounters and participates in games of oneupmanship on a daily basis and saw an opportunity.

- I had to go to hospital for something much more serious.

- I had meningitis!

Poor man - he coped well.
