Pihoihoi (NZ Pipit)

I went down the road in the hopes of finding a bird or two.  While I was photographing swallows this Pipit came along to talk to me.

I think it is pretty young as it still has the yellow showing in/around its beak.  They are sods of things to photograph as they play this crazy dash and stop game.  They sprint ahead and just when you've got a bead on them again they take off.  Eventually, after I swear I'd followed him for about a mile (well at least 100 yards) he hopped up onto the picnic table to call for his Mum.
