Acorns

Walked the dog tonight - acorns lying on the path. They bring back many memories
At Primary school we always had an excursion to the Botanical Gardens and used to picnic under the acorn trees - I remember the acorns being longer than the one in my photo.
One year I collectad a whole lot and early one morning went around the property planting them. When we left kangaroo Ground we had 2 beautiful largish oak trees
I also remember them being a tree that I was taught to recognise when we lived in England - the acorn was also the symbol for the National Trust
