In Her Element

Well, one of them -- here is a glimpse of Nanna K in her wonderful home, which perfectly reflects her artistic talents and love of color! 

Before we left for home on the day after the wedding, I phoned Nanna K to see if she and her husband, H, had time to see us, offering some wedding cake (two kinds! chocolate and also carrot cake) to sweeten the proposition. They did, and drove through horrendous Seattle traffic to pick us up at our hotel.

Their home is a kaleidoscopic marvel of color and texture on three levels, with whimsical details abounding and the added warmth of family photos, artwork, and functional objects treasured over several generations. I could easily spend several days relishing the plethora of interesting things there!

H's excellent lattes and Nanna K's fresh fruit perfectly balanced the wedding cake, and our time together, discussing a wide range of subjects (Blipfoto might have been mentioned...) went all too quickly, as we were heading home on an early afternoon bus. We appreciate being chauffeured by H and Nanna K both from the hotel and to the bus stop, and most of all, their warm hospitality!
