Bucephala clangula
Noisy bullhead is the literal translation, more commonly known as a Goldeneye. Mostly a winter visitor but some do breed in Scotland. This was taken at Pennington Flash, a great birding venue. Also seen today were a Water Rail, a Willow Tit and a Redpoll, forty species in total.
