The Blade

When our Marylebone Campus was redeveloped a couple of years ago the old, grey concrete open courtyard at the centre of the campus was roofed over at ground floor level to create what we now call the Learning Platform. To get natural light into this area a long, narrow skylight was installed along the full length of the new area. On the original architect''s drawings this was referred to as The Blade, though I doubt if anyone even remembers that nowadays.

The Learning Platform is now a buzzing social and learning space which greets visitors as soon as they pass through reception. It has made a huge difference to the campus.
