Frosty Catkins

I'm finally catching up with myself thanks to the freezing cold conditions outside putting me off going for a walk..... several jobs crossed off the list :-)
The cold weather has made the garden birds very hungry....just the blackbird contingent has eaten it's way through 3  whole apples, 3 fat balls and 3 large slices of seeded bread that was past it's best.....that's on top of the usual seed mix that they always have......hopefully that will sustain them through a very cold night tonight. they were desperate for water too........when I put the kettle full of boiling water on the iced up water in the bath to melt it I hadn't reached the back door before they were down there enjoying a nice warm drink.......spoilt or what!!! ;-)))
