Slip sliding away

I'm sick of the snow now. We just aren't equipped to cope with it.

Over the last few days I've seen plenty of gritters up and down, but few were actually gritting.

This is the back street I had to brave this morning to get into work.

It's deceptive; the snow makes you think that there will be a little grip underfoot but no, its sheet ice underneath.

I had to park on a hill too; that took a few attempts to get right as even though I always leave the car in gear, it kept sliding forwards. Due to the narrow street, there's no choice but to follow the crowd and park partly on the pavement.

Hope my car is where I left it when I leave work tonight :-0
