An old Oak tree

I always wonder what the story is on this old tree. It's gated off in an industrial section and seems to be a bit out of place. Maybe its that it's really old and the city didn't want it cut down? It seems so peaceful where it is, but also lonely. I've never seen anyone on the benches around it or kids swinging from the branches. I guess its the gates that have a way of keeping people out. That and the fact that people go to the shops for business, go along their way, and don't have time for an old tree.
Maybe one day I'll go in and give it a bit of company.
