A lazy Sunday
We started the day with good coffee, then a walk with Angus and Belle, followed by seeing old friends from Auckland, a trip to the library, a nap and then casseroled skirt steak for dinner.
This photo was taken on the walk - along the beach from our house, one of the boat sheds that line the northern edge of the inlet. Walking with Belle and Angus is always an adventure - he is as keen as mustard, pulling on the rope to go ahead. She is timid, pulling back on the rope until we are behind the boat sheds where she feels safe.
We had lunch at Floriditas with Simon and Diane (and daughter Lizzie) - perfect sitting in the sun behind glass, catching up on what has been going on in each others' lives over the past year.
A quick trip to the library, home to put the casserole on (chinese inspired skirt steak - garlic, carrot, onion, star anise, ginger, juniper berries, sake, soy sauce), have a nap and a read of some new library books.
All pretty good for a lazy Sunday.
