A cold night out

A club trip out to Salisbury to do some night photography.  We had a good sized group who all seemed to enjoy themselves, which was great.

I had a play with the Dual-ISO mode from Magic Lantern on my camera.  It seems to work pretty well.  It takes a while to process the files, and means more work sorting out the exposure afterwords.  For the right sort of image I can see it really helping.

A bit of a HDR feel to this, which I'm not sure I like.  I wanted to keep the clouds (and the stars behind them) which meant I didn't want to really black out the background.
