Snow Right!

The view of Glasgow and the Clyde in the snow, taken from the STV studios at Pacific Quay. I was there in the afternoon to record an insert for tonight's edition of The Riverside Show on Glasgow TV. Earlier I had done a half- hour interview with Derek Bateman for Newsnet, two stock signings, and a lunchtime event at the Mitchell Library where 140 people turned out to hear me interviewed by the charming Shari Low, books editor of the Daily Record. When I finished at STV it was out to The Avenue shopping mall at Newton Mearns where we had a full house for the evening event, chaired by Russel Maclean.

Met some wonderful old friends during the course of the day, and would have posted more blips if I could.

I also bought a TRTL Sleep Scarf, developed by two Glasgow engineers to support your head while sitting upright in planes or trains, thereby allowing you to sleep. I will report on its efficacy tomorrow on the train trip north to Inverness.
