An Empty Water of Leith

Wet and cold day. I cycled in to work, but had to watch out as the rear brake needs new brake pads. I needed to sort some stuff out, so a quick walk.

Walking along the Water of Leith, I was surprised by just how empty it now looks. No leaves on the trees, apart from those covered in ivy. The autumn leaves have almost gone, rotted down in to the soil. No bird song. Quiet.
